Warm up to the season with this Savannah Peach Bourbon Cocktail from Elle Talk. Inspired by one of our latest fall prints, Savannah, this cocktail is made with Georgia’s state fruit: Peach. With the warming feel from bourbon, spiced ginger beer and refreshing ice chill, this drink is sure to please at your next fall festivity.
Ingredients
1 serving
Spiced Simple Syrup
- 1 cup of water
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 6 clove pods
- 1 star anise
- 6 cardamom pods
Cocktail
- 1/4 Ripe Peach (sliced)
- 1.5 ounces Bourbon
- 0.75 ounces Spiced Simple Syrup
- 0.50 ounces Lemon Juice
- 4-6 ounces Ginger Beer (suggest Fever Tree Ginger Beer due to its spicier ntoes)
Instructions
Spiced Simple Syrup
- In a small sauce pan bring all the ingredients to a simmer. Simmer until all of the sugar has melted while constantly stirring.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- Strain into a air tight container. Can keep in the fridge for up to one month.
Cocktail
- Muddle 1/4 of a ripe peach with 0.75 ounce of spiced simple syrup in a shaker.
- When peaches have broken down add in 1.50 ounces of bourbon and 0.50 ounces of lemon juice. Add ice and shake for 20 shakes.
- In a large wine glass full of ice or Tom Collins glass full of ice strain the cocktail into the glass. Top off with ginger beer. Garnish with an extra peach slice.
