Right now, everyone is trying to make sense of our new reality. Personally, I struggle with it daily as a mother and CEO.
However, my favorite quote from the eternally wise Dr. Seuss reminds me that there are special moments happening all around us, every single day, and there is somehow value in all of this.
As a mom, I get to enjoy the company of my children in unprecedented ways, a gift I’m undeniably grateful for (most of the time).
As the Founder of Cabana Life, I’m discovering many opportunities to spread sunshine to our community. Whether it’s a small gesture like sending wildflower seed packets with inspirational notes to our customers OR something much bigger, like joining the BRANDS X BETTER coalition, I’m grateful for the opportunity to impact others.
I’ve always been a believer that out of adversity comes opportunity. Cabana Life was born because of my battle with skin cancer, to provide equal parts stylish UV protection and sun safety education.
BRANDS X BETTER, also born out of adversity, represents a new movement of likeminded brands uniting to give back to those affected by COVID-19, while also doing our part to keep the economy functioning. Cabana Life is in great company with brands we deeply admire, and each brand has selected a different charity and way to give back.
Naturally, as a company with an unwavering dedication to providing protection, we are thrilled to donate a portion of proceeds through May 1, to GetUsPPE.org’s COVID-19 relief efforts, providing protection to our healthcare heroes on the front lines.
To quote another childhood hero, Mr. Rogers, “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would always say to me, ‘Look for he helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’”
