While living in Connecticut, before establishing our homebase here in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, our founder Melissa loved to take trips to Greenwich. These staycations inspired our first fall drop of the season with our paisley Greenwich print. To get you in the fall spirit, we’ve rounded up our favorite spots & things to do during a getaway in Greenwich, CT. If you need the perfect autumn escape, keep reading! P.S. If you’re spending the weekend in Greenwich, staying at the Stanton House Inn or the Homestead Inn (pictured above) will guarantee you won’t be far from all the best food & shopping. Homestead Inn’s own Thomas Henkelmann Restaurant is famous for their contemporary French Cuisine, award-winning wine list. However, if you want a more casual and cozy atmosphere The Ginger Man is the perfect spot to sit back, relax and enjoy a meal by the fireplace. Le Penguin is where the locals go for all around delicious dinners and for local spirits to lift your spirits head to East End Restaurant.

To take in some local history, stop by the Bush-Holley House or Putnam Cottage and get a glimpse of 18th century living. However, if you’re interested in more modern culture, visit the Bruce Museum or Neuberger Museum of Art for a mix of natural history & curated art collections.
Make sure to get out and enjoy Greenwich’s natural beauty as well. Of Greenwich’s four popular beaches, we recommend Greenwich Point Park. On a clear day, you can see the Manhattan skyline – just make sure you get your day pass! Spend the day exploring the 150 acre park’s trails, historic buildings &The Bruce Museum’s Seaside Center. Then end the day by enjoying the most gorgeous sunset views from the shore.
Apple picking at any of the local Connecticut orchards is another great outdoor activity perfect for the whole family! Spend the day exploring the orchard and munching on fresh sweet apples. Plus, with all the extra apples you bring home you can make amazing pies or cocktails, like our Bourbon Apple Cider Thyme Punch! Orchards like Bluehills Orchard will even give you a free wagon ride to the apple trees! Always double check any farm’s apple picking & safety policies so you can find the right experience for you.
With new fall dresses & tops, golden leaves & cooler weather, we’re definitely looking forward to autumn this year.
