As a skin cancer survivor, birthdays mean a LOT! I’m forever grateful for my early melanoma diagnosis and successful treatment at age 26. My wish for my 50th birthday is to bring my friends, family and our Cabana Life community together to support the incredible work of the Melanoma Research Foundation.
The MRF is the largest independent organization devoted to melanoma. We are proud to work with them and our shared commitment to eradicating melanoma. The MRF is an active advocate for the melanoma community, helping to raise awareness of this disease and the need for a cure. The MRF’s mission is to eradicate melanoma by accelerating medical RESEARCH while EDUCATING to and ADVOCATING for the melanoma community.
I founded Cabana Life sun protective clothing to provide stylish UPF 50+ solutions while simultaneously giving back to further advance skin cancer education, prevention and life-saving research.

Party With A Purpose
Cabana Life Founder & Melanoma Survivor, Melissa, is celebrating her 50th birthday with the wish to fight melanoma with her friends, family & Cabana community at the 4th annual MRF #GetNakedJax gala she is co-chairing. The event will be hosted near our headquarters & boutique in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL at The Yards. This event is a great party for an even greater cause. Patient speakers will share the importance of the event and the impact their goal of over $200,000 will have for melanoma research.
