"Soooo appreciate what the two of you (Cabana Life Founders Melissa & Alyssa) have done. Since my diagnosis in August 2020 of nodular melanoma, I have dreaded going out into the sun. Most clothing with UV protection for women is boring. Finally there’s a clothing line where women, who are extremely vulnerable, can feel like they can still wear something fun! It’s so comfortable & cool to wear too. Thank you."

Valerie is constantly advocating for skin cancer awareness. She led the charge with her state senator to create a proclamation that designated May as "Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month" and the first Monday in May "Melanoma Monday" in Pennsylvania.
